Hello ColorOS Super Fans,

Once again I am here with my new article 'USB TYPE C CABLE'

•        What is USB Type C cable?

USB-C features a new, smaller connector shape that's reversible so it's easier to plug in. USB-C cables can carry significantly more power, so they can be used to charge larger devices like laptops. They also offer up to double the transfer speed of USB 3 at 10 Gbps

•        What is meant by Type C cable?

A Type-C port measures just 8.4 by 2.6mm. This means it's small enough to work for even the smallest peripheral devices. With Type-C, both ends of a USB cable are the same, allowing for reversible plug orientation.

•        What is difference between USB Type C and micro USB?

There is a physically noticeable difference in the micro USB and USB type C. ... The type C is slightly bigger in size and doesn't have any hooks on its sides. This allows it to enter into a device any way you put it in. Type C takes advantage of USB 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 allowing you to transfer data at speeds of 5 to 20Gbps.

•        What is the use of USB Type C port in laptop?

With increased data-transfer speeds comes the ability to push video over the same connection. USB-C's Alternate Mode (or “Alt Mode”) for video enables adapters to output video from that same USB-C port to HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA and other types of video connectors on displays, TVs and projectors.

•        Is micro USB same as Type C?

USB-C is reversible, which means that unlike the Micro-USB plug you used on your last phone (a USB-B shape), you can stick in a USB-C cable any which way; either side is "up."

•        Is Type C faster than micro USB?

USB type C. At first blush , type C looks slightly bigger than micro USB. ... This standard takes advantage of USB 3.1 and 3.0 data transfer speeds and a higher throughput capability to ensure a fast charge along with transfer rates from 5Gbps to 10Gbps.

•        Uses of USB type c .

•        It’s small. The new port is half the width and one-third the height of a standard USB connector and only slightly larger than Apple’s Lightning or the micro-USB connectors.

•        It’s reversible. Unlike older USB cable, it doesn’t matter which side is up with a Type-C plug; you can insert it either way.
•        It’s fast. Type-C ports can transfer data using the zippy speeds of the latest version of the USB protocol — up to 10 gigabits per second.

•        It’s powerful. The new connector can provide up to 100 watts of power, enough to power a laptop.

•        It’s flexible. Via adapters, users will be able to connect older devices to Type-C ports, even devices that use non-USB technologies, like DisplayPort, VGA and Ethernet.

•        Feature of USB type c.

•        The big sell for most users is going to be faster charging. Type-C can deliver power at up to 100 watts at 20 volts. This means that larger devices can now be charged from USB, including laptops and monitors. Say goodbye to the clunky AC adapters we've been lugging around until now.

•        The USB-C connector is smaller and can be connected from both sides. While the double side plugging in is only for our comfort, the smaller size makes it very helpful in the mini computers and micro-controllers.

•        Type-C is compatible with up to 10Gbps data transfer rates. That means a full movie can be transferred in a single second, theoretically. With wireless data being used more often but being limited, this new USB standard may cause ai resurgence of cable connection use as super high speed data rates are required for things like gaming on tablets connected to TVs.

•        Also, due to it's size being around the same as Micro-USB, you can charge your phone and other devices with the same charger. Of course, different chargers provide different voltage depending on the device, but devices with around the same power and voltage can have one charger.
