Hello ColorOS Superfans!
As you know, ColorOS has some really cool features. In this article, I'll write what more ColorOS can do as you might have missed some of its features. You can call it tips & tricks.
Let's start!
1. DISPLAY SIZE You might be knowing that we can already change the font size in realme devices. But, what about Display Size? For those not knowing what Display Size is: You can use 'Display Size' to control the size of text, pictures and other elements in various interfaces. Well, Display Size has been added to ColorOS 6. Just go to Setting -> Display and Brightness -> Display Size.
2. NIGHT SHIELD The blue light coming from our screens is supposed to interfere with our ability to sleep so experts recommend using a blue light filter when using your device in the night. Night Shield is a feature of ColorOS which decreases the blue light coming out of your smartphone by changing the color temperature of the display. You can enable this feature in ColorOS by going to Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Night Shield. Here you can choose to enable Night Shield or can schedule a time frame between which the Night Shield will automatically turn on. You can also choose the intensity of Night Shield by using the slider or use just a black and white mode.
3. INVERT COLORS This setting changes your phone display to negative, i.e., white will turn black, black will turn white, etc. While texting in a cinema hall or other dark places, inverted colour helps as white will turn black, thus reducing strain in your eyes. To invert colours, go to Setting -> Display and Brightness -> Night Shield -> Enable Now -> Select "comfortable night-time reading".
4. FULL-SCREEN NAVIGATION GESTURES Oppo has options for either using Android Pie's navigation gestures or Oppo’s own navigation gesture or use the age-old Android virtual buttons. To customize the navigation gestures, go to Settings -> Convenience Aid -> Navigation Keys and then choose the one you want.
5. SMART ASSISTANT CUSTOMIZATION With ColorOS 6, you have more control over the information that is shown in the Smart Assistant page. To customize the Smart Assistant Page, tap on the plus button at the top right. Here, you can pick and choose the type of information that you want to show and rearrange their order for a better viewing experience.
6. ENABLE SMART SIDEBAR Smart Sidebar basically allows you to attach a little shelf to the edge of your screen for getting quick access to certain apps and actions. The shelf is hidden by default but can be easily activated using a simple swipe gesture. You can enable the Smart Sidebar by going to Settings -> Convenience Settings -> Smart Sidebar. Here, enable the toggle next to “Smart Sidebar”. You can also choose to use the sidebar only in landscape mode if you want to.
7. ENABLE ASSISTIVE BALL Assistive ball feature is very inspired by the assistive touch in iPhones. You can navigate anything from anywhere on your screen. You can also add an application or function to the assistive ball. To Enable, Settings –> Smart & Convenient –> Assistive Ball –> Enable
8. RIDING MODE New Riding mode, when enabled mutes all notification whenever it detects that you are riding a bike or driving. You can also manually turn it on from the quick settings menu. Any call that you receive is automatically canceled and the caller receives an automatic text message. To enable the “Riding Mode” go to Smart Service -> Smart Driving and select the Riding Mode option. Here, you can also tap on the “Do-Not Disturb Riding” to customize what you want your phone to do when you receive calls and messages while you are riding or driving.
9. HIGH ENERGY EFFICIENCY MODE ColorOS has always been great at managing battery so that users always get longer run time. However, there are some times when you need your phone to last longer than usual. ColorOS allows you to do so by bringing a high energy efficiency mode which allows the battery to last longer. To enable this feature go to Settings -> Battery -> Screen Battery Optimization and then enable the “High Energy Efficiency Mode”.
10: GAMING MODE New Game Space enables the gaming mode when it recognizes that you’re playing a game and improves your performance. It also stops calls and messages so you can play the game without any interruption.
