Best Practices!

Cell phones can be a pretty hefty investment, which is why its important to keep them in the best condition possible to ensure they last long. Not many people have the means to go out and buy a new phone to replace a broken phone, especially if the phone isn't insured. Cell phones are lifelines, there for emergencies and to provide a way to stay connected with family and friends. Its a good idea to handle them with proper care so they will be there when you need them the most.

Phones can act as digital drugs that we use to seek pleasure, or to avoid discomfort and pain, Price said. Being aware of your own motives — as well as how tech products have been intentionally engineered to siphon as much of your attention as possible may make a trivial observation (such as frittering away 10 minutes on Instagram) take on a new weight (like that you were endlessly scrolling to avoid a hard task). Along with that analysis, Price recommends creating a list of all the ways that you like using your phone, and all the usage behaviors that make you feel bad.

With talk of security issues with smartphones gathering momentum, there's never been a better time to increase awareness of the ways you may be putting your data at risk. Modern advances to mobiles mean that there's often far more at stake than losing contacts and text messages if a mobile is lost or stolen, and even if you don’t use a phone to access the internet or store sensitive data, you could still be at risk if not properly protected. We've compiled eight key concerns and outlined the ways in which you might be putting yourself at risk, and how to ensure that you don't become part of a rising proportion of users that are being targeted by malicious parties.
Use a best PIN or Lock

Tremendous Truth!
54% of smartphone users in the US do not set up password security on mobile phones

Almost every smartphone user has experienced serious lag times that make it frustrating to use their mobile device. In the vast majority of cases, this happens because the storage and RAM capabilities of the smartphone are being maxed out. This can make the phone much less responsive, and it often convinces people to upgrade before they truly need to. To avoid this unnecessary expense, make sure that you regularly remove any apps, photos, documents or text messages that you do not actually need.

Mobile-First-Approach.jpg

As mobile phone users, all we want is enough battery life to last the day. Frustratingly, the older the device, the less power it seems to have. In fact, the amount of battery life our mobiles have on any given day depends on two key factors: how we use them on that day, and how we used them in the past.  By requiring authentication before a mobile device can be accessed, the data on the device is protected in case of accidental loss or theft of the mobile device. Ensure the use of a powerful password in order to make it more difficult for a potential thief to access the device.

Disable un-wanted Applications

Android, you can disable these apps to keep them from running in the background. Just head to your phone's version of the application manager, tap on the app you want to sedate, and hit Disable. You may not be crazy about every app that comes with your phone; often carriers and manufacturers add apps that you simply won't use. But while you can't always uninstall these apps, you can often keep them from running on your phone.

If you ever want to re-enable the app, you can do that by following the same steps.
If the Action Center had a message about Anti-Virus protection or Windows Update or Backups, you could go into the Action Center and tell it to not bother you with any more messages about it. Most people only think about cleaning up their phone when something starts to go wrong. Android devices are smart enough that regular maintenance isn't necessary, but it's still a good idea to perform a digital tune-up every once in a while.

Don't underestimate the impact of staying digitally organized---it might just keep your phone working for longer. he trick is finding phone cleaner apps that actually live up to their promises. At best, a bad cleaner app wastes storage space; at worst, it could infect you with malware and spam you with ads. Not all Android cleaner apps are useless, however, so we're going to help you find the ones worth using.
