Dear Users:
If you come across any problem while using ColorOS Beta/Alpha/Trial Version, you can give feedback in ColorOS Community App. Your feedback will be taken care by our engineers. We welcome you to give feedback.

  ColorOS APP Feedback Process  
ColorOS Community App feedback post is mainly divided into two steps, the first step you choose to submit belongs to the Module and the second step you choose to submit in the feedback type (BUG/Design defects/request). Please select the appropriate step ac. to your feedback type.

  How to post a perfect feedback?  
Earlier fellow Beta users posted the feedback, but the quality of some feedbacks was not that good, so many problems were written using simple phenomenon, or just some demand or requirement, that's it.
This feedback is not at all the level of Beta users, our engineers were not able to find the solution with this kind of feedback.
So how to post good quality feedback?  We have given you the explanation below:

Select the type of feedback, select the corresponding model, provide the complete information:

BUG Type feedback Module:  
If the phone comes across functional use or performance issues such as application crashing, heating and power consumption issues and etc.then this comes under the BUG type feedback. You can use the “Submit BUG” module.
Consider following before posting BUG feedback:
1.Reappearance Step:  Describe as much detail as possible about how you operated the phone when that bug appeared so that if the engineer follows your step then the same bug should reappear.
2. Make sure you upload the log file of the problem, screen recording or screenshot of the time when the problem occurred so that engineers will quickly locate the problem and corresponding log to do the rapid analysis of the problem.

Design Defect Feedback Module:
Design defect mainly refer to the some obvious design problems such as unusual fonts, design uniformity is not good, some logical problem with the working of some function.This function design, interface design issues all belongs to Design Defect.

Consider following before posting Design Defect feedback:
1.Suggestions for improvement: If you think it is better to improve this design defect then try to give your suggestions for the improvement.

Request Type Feedback Module:  
Request type feedback mainly refers to your own expectation that ColorOS does not have. This refers to a certain function, for example, you expect some application to save your time, game acceleration, etc. This can reach us by submitting Request Type Feedback.

Consider following before submitting Request Type Feedback:
1.Request Scenario: In what case you are going to need this feature and if we do this change what benefit will it bring?
2.Demand Value: If we do this then what value will it bring to us? Is this value universal? Who will have benefit from this?

  How to Provide Contact Information  
In order to make it easy for our engineers to contact you for the confirmation that you have come across the problem and to provide a quick solution to your problem. Please leave your contact information while posting the feedback. (We will keep your contact information confidential and only our engineers can view it)

  BUG Feedback  
You must present the LOG and corresponding time point when the problem occurred during the feedback so that our engineers will quickly locate, analyze and solve the problem.
In order to help our engineers quickly locate and solve the problem, everyone in the process must on Screen Recording so that your steps will be recorded.

Details steps to capture the LOG:
Step 1
:Dial *#800# into the dialer interface, After this, therewill be a popup in which you need to press “Ok” (Don’tcheck developer Option)

Step 2:According to the feedback select the type of LOG to be rebooted. The common bug will select the log by Common/Other;if the feedback is WIFI, Audio, GPS, Bluetooth, Sensor, Camera, and other issues. Choose the corresponding log to seize.

Step 3:Turn on “Recording S
creen”,select “Start”,select “REBOOT” (if the problem disappears then do not choose REBOOT) ,you can then select the LOG 。The problem reappears then immediately take the screenshot and record the time,so that engineers can quickly analyze problems.

Step 4:After the problem reappeared and was recorded, Dial *#800# and after entering into the log select “Finish

Step 5:IN file Manager - ALL FILES, Click oppo_log, find the newly started debug folder ,Long press the folder, Select “Compress File” compress the log file.
Step 6:After compressing the file provides the feedback  (less than 50 MB file),or upload it to Google Drive (more than 50 MB file),and share the link attached to the feedbacks.

FAQs :

1.  What is the difference between Beta user and the official users?
①LOG steps and LOG capturing method of beta user and the official user is one and the same.
② BETA users cannot upload the LOG while the official user can select the log to upload on OPPO server.
③ Naming the file:
Beta User capture the login folder name: debug @stop @time
Official User capture the log in the folder name: problem title @stop @time

2. Is it necessary to always ON screen recording while performing the LOG?
If you start the screen recording it will only record for 30 minutes. If you want to perform a LOG on standby power consumption or some long term functions, it is not necessary to ON the screen recording.
