Hello ColorOS SuperFans!
If you have bought an Oppo device in the past, the unboxing experience is familiar. Upon opening the main white box, you get clear-case in a box, underneath which is the phone (wrapped in black plastic) and below it, charger, USB cable and headphones.
I'm a member of the ColorOS Creator team and recently I got a task from ColorOS Community team to experience the just launched Reno 3 Pro. The Reno 3 Pro device is provided to me by Oppo.
I have kept this unboxing very simple and let the photos do the talking.
You can view my short unboxing video on YouTube.
The difference in Reno 3 Pro is that the box has a cover which is shiny blue with gradient, it gives premium feel to the whole package. The inner white box doesn't have phone's image on the top.
As usual box contents, specifications and phone IMEI details are printed on the stickers.
The box contains SIM tray eject tool, manual, warranty and clear case. The plastic case perfectly fits the phone and hass perfectly cut outs for the camera, headphone jack and charging point.
Main content of the box! The phone wrapped in plastic. Removing the plastic cover, see the beauty of the phone!
Front has protective film applied. There is no need to stick thick toughened glass for me, which I heavily despise. You can see two front cameras.
Back has subtle design which shines when phone moves. The colour is Midnight Black. Camera module has 4 cameras whose specifications you can see in the photo.
Simple branding of Oppo. No other text anywhere on the phone.
Top of the phone has a microphone hole and nothing else.
Bottom has 3.5 mm headphone jack, microphone, USB-C charging point and speakers.
Volume buttons are on the left and power button is on the right side. Power button has a green line which I think is Oppo's favorite colour and branding. You can recognize Oppo phone from its power button. You can see the green accent at many places like on the headphones and charging cable.
Charger is 30 watt which supports fast charging.
Headphones has green highlight on the speaker grill. Small but distinctive Oppo branding. They are simple but comes handy occasionally.
Charging cable with USB-C socket which is standard now.
Let's turn it on! After switching it on, welcome screen greets you and guides you to basic settings like language, wifi, Google id, password creation etc.

CONCLUSION • Compared to my current phone A5 2020, this phone has superior screen and cameras. • I'm spoiled by the OLED screen. It now feels painful to look at the LCD screens anymore. OLED display has an advantage of showing screen-off clock continuously and still be battery efficient. The blacks are perfectly black and night mode is tailered for this screen. • The new 64MP main camera produces some of the best images. Also 2x telephoto lens comes in handy in situations where we can not go near the subject for example while photographing closeups of the face. It has broadened the scope of using mobile for photography. • ColorOS 7 shines on this mobile. Especially the camera app is leaps ahead of the ColorOS 6. We get night mode for all the lenses with tripode night mode. And video bokeh with both front and back cameras. • In display fingerprint sensor works perfectly than I expected. • All-in-all perfect value for the money. This is the flagship mobile until Oppo Find X2 is released in India. • Detailed review coming soon.
