Hello ColorOS FAN's,

Back when tigers used to smoke, human civilization has started to develop technology for making the existance of life easier. From light bulb to the latest curiosity rover wandering on the mountains of Mars, everything is discovered to make things easier for us and explore. In such an evolution, Smart Phone is one of major invention. It made contactless transactions, travel less meetings, loss less profits. In such smartphones, Navigation Gestures are much needed for fluent usage. Hence, we are going to discuss about the navigation gestures in ColorOS

ColorOS in it's latest build, is offering 3 types of navigation gestures for their users. They are Swipe-Up gestures, Virtual Buttons, Swipe From Both Sides. In today's topic, we are going to discuss about all these three types of gestures.

Virtual Buttons

When phones are introduced, there used to have keypad with them for using phones. But once smart phones evolved, touch screens are introduced. And to operate those touch screens, gestures are needed. Hence, virtual buttons on the bottom of screen are the primary type of navigation gestures introduced. These are very handy and easy to use. In the above produces screenshot, the feature is displayed clearly.

While using the full screen, these buttons can also be hidden for better experience, for that we just need to enable the above represented toggle. As mentioned in the above screen shot, the dot at the bottom of screen can be used for quick change of this Auto Hide Virtual Button feature. By clicking on that dot, you can "ON" and "OFF" the Auto hide option..

Swipe-Up Gestures

These are very commonly seen gestures in ColorOS right from Version 5.0 and its higher versions. It basically removes the virtual buttons and uses a gesture based algorithm. As mentioned in the above screenshot, left or right swipe at the bottom used as a back gesture. Swiping from center of bottom used as a home gesture. And swiping and holding for 1-2 seconds from center takes you to the recent tabs page. These are also very easy to use and gives a full screen experience.  Also, many users from ColorOS 5.0 are very familiar with this type.

The gesture bar at the bottom of the screen can be hidden by simply clicking on the above produced toggle. These toggles are available in the more section of navigation gestures

Swipe Gestures From Both Sides

This is my favorite one and the latest one introduced along with Android 9 and 9+ versions. In this type, swipe from both sides of screen will be a back gesture, swiping on the bottom portion of screen gives a home gesture and swipe and hold for recent tabs.
Apart from that, using this type will help in accessing one more easy gesture. That is the quick switch between apps gesture. This gesture is very useful one. We can quickly switch between apps with a small gesture any time and from any app.

Below are some of the representation of the gestures mentioned above.
