Hello ColorOS SuperFans,

INTRODUCTION

There are many applications installed by default in ColorOS 7 which are useful to us. Most of them are system apps which we can't uninstall normally. But there are some apps, for example Soloop, DocVault and Oppo Relax app, for which ColorOS provides the uninstall option for those who don't need these apps. But unfortunately sometimes this apps might be deleted by mistake.

In this article, I'm showing you how you can reinstall ColorOS built in apps, if deleted accidently.

Here, for example, let's now delete Oppo Relax and DocVault apps.

The safest source for app installation on Android is Google Play Store. So let's first search the Play Store for Oppo Relax and DocVault apps.

As you can see, none of them are available on the Play Store officially. Actually the only official ColorOS or Oppo apps I can find in the Play Store are the following.

Now the second source for app installation on Oppo mobiles is Oppo App Market. So let's search Oppo Relax and DocVault there.

As you can see that Oppo relax is available here, let's install!

But unfortunately DocVault is not available in the App Market.

You may be tempted to search online for the DocVault APK file. But I don't recommend this because the APK file, if downloaded from an unofficial source may be infected with virus. Also DocVault being an app to store confidential documents inside, the data might not be safe if the app is a compromised one.

So the best method, which does not require internet connection is this:

Do you know? APK files of all the apps installed in your phone are already there in the Root partition! To view the root storage, you don't need to root your phone but you will need a third party file manager application which can explore the root folder. Because the ColorOS File Manager can't view root partition.

For example, here I'm using 3rd party file manager x-plore.

Search the root folder for DocVault and you will see the APK file of this app.

Just open it and it'll get installed easily.

By the same method, any of the default application can be installed easily.

I have also created a YouTube video "How to reinstall ColorOS built-in apps, if deleted by mistake (in Hindi)". Please watch it here.

CONCLUSION

Oppo should made the apps available in the Play Store like Soloop, DocVault, Relax etc. So that we can easily download & update them. App Market is also a trustworthy source for app install but I have found that the apps here are not the up-to-date version occasionally. So try my method if you want to re install any of the default applications at any time.
