OPPO Find X3 AnTuTu listing surfaced online (Rumour)

ezgif.com-webp-to-jpg(7).jpg

A new AnTuTu listing for a mystery OPPO PEEM00 smartphone shows a score of 771491, the highest yet recorded on the benchmarking app. Considering this score it is safe to say that the OPPO PEEM00 is the model number for the Find X3, which has can be  seen with 888 chipset. While the listing, posted on Weibo by tipster Ice Universe, does show the superb performance we can look forward to, it does not reveal the OPPO Find X3 specifications or other details.

WhatsApp's New Data Privacy Policy

whats1505_060121121048.jpg

WhatsApp's updated privacy policy has caused a lot of commotion for the company in the past few days. The matter reached a point where WhatsApp had to issue full front-page newspaper ads explaining their side of the story.
The first set of information that WhatsApp collects is your usage and log information. What this means is that WhatsApp collects information regarding how you use WhatsApp, how you interact with personal contact versus business accounts, as well as the time, frequency and duration of what you do on the app. Essentially, WhatsApp knows how much time you spend on voice calls, video calls, or viewing other users' status.
In addition to this, under this section, WhatsApp also says they collect information about your group name, group description and the picture you use on the group. They might not be able to see your group messages, but they can find out what the group is from via the name and description if they wish.
The next set of information is of your device and the connection you use on your smartphone. WhatsApp can access information regarding your device's hardware specifications, battery level, as well as which mobile operator or internet provider you use on the phone. The trouble is that if you view permissions that WhatsApp takes on your device, you will realise that WhatsApp has access to a lot of features.

Intel launches Real Sense ID camera system

Intel-RealSense-ID--e1610044308547.jpg

Intel expanded its family of RealSense 3D cameras with an on-device system for facial recognition. Intel said its new Real Sense ID camera system combines an active depth sensor with a specialized neural network designed to perform facial authentication on consumer-facing devices such as point-of-sale systems, ATMs and kiosks.
Intel said RealSense ID has built-in anti-spoofing technology that blocks any attempt of false entry through the use of photographs, videos or masks, and touts it as having a one-in-1-million false acceptance rate. The system also processes all facial images locally and encrypts all user data.

Qualcomm announces 2nd Generation 3D Sonic Sensor In-Display Fingerprint Scanner

qualcomm_fingerprint-gen2_header.jpg

The new 3D Sonic Sensor Gen2 is ultra-thin at 0.2mm and should enable smartphone brands to design new devices, presumably with thinner and slightly more unconventional form factors. Qualcomm says this may include full edge-to-edge flexible OLED displays.
In terms of performance, the 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2 has a surface area that is 77% larger than its predecessor, which in turn allows a phone to capture 1.7x more biometric data. On top of that, the sensor will also process data 50% faster than the 1st generation, meaning that whatever phone that is fitted with the scanner is less likely to reject or fail to recognise a user’s fingerprints.
Qualcomm says that its 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2 will make its debut in mobile devices launching in early 2021, but did not specify which of its partner brands would be the first to feature the new technology in its phones.

Andriod may let you hibernate unused apps to free up space

image-2021-01-12-08-24-13.png

Based on a couple of code changes submitted by AOSP (Andriod open source Project),
Google is adding a new app hibernation system service "that manages app hibernation state, a state apps can enter that means they are not being actively used and can be optimized for storage.”

End of 3G Network

ezgif.com-webp-to-jpg(7).jpg

As the Ministry of Communication is all set to conduct an auction in March this year and expiration of old spectrum allocated,

both Airtel and Vi (Vodafone-Idea) are shutting down their 3G networks in India. This development is expected to help both operators to save money and to focus on the 4G network. In fact, Airtel was the first operator that shut down its 3G services in Kolkata.
