I am a member of "ColorOS Creators Planet" & my expectation for development of ColorOS in future is...
I wish to have an Anti-Theft Prevention feature. Currently, the biggest issue with having a smartphone is the fear of getting stolen. Thus I wish to have an anti-theft feature which will block access to any user when stolen.
The Current Anti-Theft features like Find My Device, etc. are left ineffective if either one of the location, Internet or phone is switc hed off which is usually a very easy task for anyone to do.
List of measures that can be implemented in software to support Ant-Theft:
1. Power-Off Authentication: In this the phone would be needed to be unlocked first before we can switch off or restart the phone. Also an option will be given to the user whether he wants to enable this feature or not.
2. Bind IMEI with Owner details: Create an Oppo Ecosystem where the IMEI would be binded to the email ID/Phone Number of the owner.
Thus whenever a phone that has been registered in the Oppo's Database, is reset and again being setup as a fresh device, it would require the mail ID/Phone Number and password of the Original owner which is fetched from the database of the Oppo Ecosystem.
3. Secure Recovery Mode: Any person shall not be able to access the recovery mode unless the password of the phone is entered. Also, there maybe a setting for having a separate password especially for the recovery mode.
